Had a request from my niece and nephew to bake the Daim cake which was available from the Ikea food store but has now been discontinued there.

Its actually 2 layers of almondy cake with more layers of pastry cream and chocolate ganache.

It's a very rich cake and my version is a thicker one, as I cant help piling on the layers!
